THE NEW ME!

Thanks to the help of Dr. Lynn Hansen

I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dr. Lynn Hansen. He has helped me to have tremendous weight loss success and continues to do so. He has showed me that I can have a better life and how to acheive that. My family and I are very glad he is able to help me. My weight loss goals and dreams are becoming a reality! Thank you!!!! I give this doctor the highest of recommendations. He can change your life too and make your weight loss more than just a dream. Please don't hesitate to call him.

I am also so glad for my gym membership with Apple Athletic Club. No, they are not a sponsor. I just don't think that this kind of success for me would be possible without them. I work out there every day and twice a day on Wednesdays. Hard work pays off.

July pictures

Feeling Better

Here are some pictures of what I looked like at the end of July. My tummy is shrinking. My knees feel better. My whole body feels better.

Eating Healthy

I am continuing to eat healthy and my wife has found some great healthy recipes in the process. She has even invented some of her own that are amazing too. I am excited that eating healthy doesn't mean bland awful food. In fact, since I have started my weight loss journey, my family and I have tried new foods that we really enjoy.

I did find it a little challenging to eat healthy while I was vacationing with my family but didn't give up trying.
In fact, I am finding myself craving less sweets. It is easier to say "no" the more I practice it. The nice thing is that there are healthy alternatives. It isn't just the dessert or nothing.

Training

I have been continuing in my training for the VikingMan Triathlon in Heyburn, ID coming up on Sept 11th. I have been gradually increasing my endurance which has been tough. I am now running 6.5 miles at a time. I won't let myself stop. I work out daily running, bicycling, and swimming. My goal at this point with the triathlon is to finish. I think after I finish the triathlon, I will be sleeping. ( : I don't know. Hopefully I won't be too beat.

Current Weight To Date

My current weight as of today, July 7th,2010 is 360.6 lbs. It has been a long time since my weight has been down to this level. If you like, you can look back at my weight stats in archive to see every day up to this point. I have started running again. My knees aren't killing me like they used to. I still exercise everyday in training for the Viking Man triathalon in September. I am walking, running, riding bike, and swimming among other things, to get ready. I have noticed that keeping my heart rate high is becoming more of a challenge than before. My body is starting to get used to going long distances. September is coming fast. Aaah! Here we go!

You need to set a goal!

Set a goal start small achieve and make the goal bigger and bigger until it becomes something great!
Ever great journey begins with the first step, so make the step that will save your life from Misery covered in FAT!
I am not the sole word on this issue but have been down this road too many times and this last time almost killed me. I am not going down this path again and I will not allow my children to fall into the same death trap I had.
I will be an example to my children and to all those who care to listen I will offer love and support to anyone who asks for it. I am here not just to help myself but to bring others along with me because any journey alone is a failed journey indeed!
Be strong and remember you need to ask for help first and things will get easier giving you the strength to make it through one more day. Keep Moving Forward!

SEPT GOAL SET PROGRESS IS EXCELLENT!

393.4 lbs
My progress has taken a new turn for the best my blood pressure has dropped to 150/100 my heart has gone from being 230 years old to 98 years old and my arteries have gone from 74 to 34 years old. I am moving forward and the weight is starting to fall off faster the most noticeable place is my hands they look normal now not huge. My arms are starting to shrink my shoulders are not as broad I am turning into someone I have never been before. There is a goal for Sept 11th 2010 I will compete in the Vikingman Triathatlon in Heyburn ID. I should be close to 300lbs at that time and be ready to make a good showing. I am so excited about this this goal with the support of my family will help me to get where I need to be.
